What CDCP covers, in plain terms
The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps eligible residents without private insurance pay for dental care. Check these before you book.

Direct billing
Every clinic here bills CDCP for you through Sun Life, so you pay only the portion the plan leaves uncovered instead of claiming it back yourself.

Co-payment
Your household income sets the percentage CDCP pays. The rest is yours. Ask the clinic for a written estimate first.

Not every treatment
CDCP covers a defined list of services, and some need pre-authorization. Cosmetic work is generally not included.

Bring your letter
Take your CDCP approval and member number to the first visit so the clinic can confirm coverage before treatment starts.
